The AWS Well-Architected Framework supports you in optimising your AWS architecture based on proven and further developed standards. With our AWS Well-Architected Review, we offer a comprehensive assessment of your AWS infrastructure to identify potential savings and possible risks or to find areas for improvement.

Our approach to a Well-Architected AWS cloud helps you to identify the opportunities of your AWS environment and make targeted improvements.

Here are our six steps to the six pillars:

  • Coordinate the scope

    We agree the scope of the review with you. This can include, for example, a small website, a complex application or the entire AWS environment.

  • Set up a project team

    We set up a project team with members from all relevant areas of your company.

  • Interview tech team

    We interview your technical team and ask important details and background information using a constantly evolving list of questions.

  • Check important parameters

    We check your environment largely automatically for important parameters and find out which areas require further attention.

  • Presenting problems and potential

    We create a report and present you with the identified potentials and problems in your environment. In addition to each finding, you will receive suggestions for optimization or problem solving.

  • Improvement and error correction

    We support you in implementing the improvements and error correction where necessary.

In our work, we are guided by the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its six pillars.

You probably already know them, but here is a brief explanation:

The goal of this pillar is to understand the operational processes behind your applications to enable continuous improvement. This includes understanding business goals, recognizing errors and problems, automating processes and continuously measuring and monitoring your applications to make effective decisions. By implementing best practices in operations and automation, the Operational Excellence pillar will help you make your applications more agile, efficient and cost-effective.

This pillar aims to ensure that your applications and data in the cloud are adequately protected. The framework provides best practices and recommendations to detect and mitigate threats by properly applying the appropriate security mechanisms such as encryption, access controls, network isolation and more. By implementing this pillar, you can achieve a higher level of security for your applications and data in the cloud.

Performance Efficiency in the AWS Well-Architected Framework refers to how efficiently an application or system performs its work. For example, if you are running an application that opens very slowly or responds slowly to requests, this may indicate poor performance efficiency. On the other hand, an application that has more computing power available than it needs causes unnecessary costs. Within the framework, there are best practices that help us improve the performance efficiency of your application to provide a better user experience without incurring unnecessary costs.

Reliability in the AWS Well-Architected Framework refers to how reliable and stable your system is. A reliable application that is available at all times is important for everyone. If errors occur, they must be detected and rectified quickly. This ensures high availability and continuity. Faulty applications affect users and have a negative impact on your business. We ensure that existing methods for error detection, monitoring and incident management are reviewed and optimized as part of the Reliability pillar. In this way, we ensure that your system remains stable and reliable.
